Who we are

This website is operated by Indalo Shipping, Transport & Consultancy B.V., trading as MariTeam Shipping Agencies ("MariTeam", "we", "us"), Directiekade 32, 3089 JA Rotterdam, the Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce (KvK) no. 24383188. We are the controller of the personal data described below.

What we collect, and why

When you e-mail or call us

If you contact one of our departments, we process the details you provide, such as your name, company, e-mail address, telephone number and the operational details of your enquiry or port call. We use these solely to answer you and to provide the agency services you ask for. The legal basis is the performance of a contract, or taking steps at your request before entering into one (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR); for general enquiries, our legitimate interest in responding to you (Article 6(1)(f)). We keep this information for as long as needed to handle your request and maintain our business relationship, and in line with our statutory retention obligations.

When you apply for a job or internship

If you send us your application, we process your CV, motivation and contact details to assess your application. We delete your details no later than four weeks after the application procedure has ended, unless you give us permission to keep them for up to one year for future vacancies.

When you simply visit the site

Our hosting provider records standard server logs (including your IP address, browser and device information, the pages requested and timestamps) to keep the site secure and running. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the security and integrity of the site (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR); these logs are retained only briefly. We also measure aggregate site usage with privacy-friendly analytics that set no cookies and store no personal data. See our Cookie Policy.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract and only as needed:

International transfers

Most processing takes place within the European Economic Area (EEA). Vercel is established in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you and to have it corrected or deleted; to restrict or object to our processing; to receive your data in a portable form; and, where we rely on your consent, to withdraw it at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority: in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl); in Belgium, the Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit (gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be).

How we keep it safe

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) throughout, work with reputable providers, and limit access to the colleagues who need it.
